2-Year Planning Guide for BS%20in%20Chemistry%20Teaching

A maximum of 66 academic transfer hours plus up to 4 hours of KINE/PHED activity courses from junior or community colleges can be applied in a bachelor’s degree. To complete a bachelor’s degree from SFA, students must satisfy the SFA in-residence policy by taking a minimum of 42 semester hours of SFA coursework, of which 36 hours must be advanced level (300-400-level). For specific degree requirements, contact your major department.

SFA accepts all “Core Curriculum” designated courses from Texas public universities and community or junior colleges according to the Texas Education Code (61.822) and Texas Administrative Code(4.28).

A student whose official transcript documents that they are “Core Complete” will be classified as “Core Complete” at SFA and will not be required to take any additional Core classes, unless specific core courses are required to satisfy certain major or degree requirements.

Students who transfer with an incomplete Core Curriculum status, will be required to complete the SFA Core Curriculum. Individual Core designated courses will be transferred and counted in the component area as indicated on the official transcript.

This information, though accurate for current degree requirements, is subject to change without notice. For additional information contact: Office of Admission (936) 468-2504 or admissions@sfasu.edu
